So nice to have you once more. So in this episode, we're going to be looking at the May 2026 astrological overarch. Sounds great. Yeah. So typically what we do is we look at uh three main things, and it's going to be the planetary ingresses, so that's when planets change signs. We want to know about those because then you've got energy shifting. We're going to be um talking about the lunations and eclipses if there are any. So the lunations are the new and the full moons, because they're always the highlights of the lunar cycle.

And we're going to be talking about any stations that are coming up, if there are any. Okay. And um, so that's either going the planet's going to move direct or retrograde when we're talking about a station. Absolutely. I know I've got it on a computer, but I still want to draw it out. I feel that you pay more attention if you see that Mars is going here or you see there's a lunation there.

Yeah. So there are several um events that are are happening. Interestingly, we have two full moons, so we'll talk about the very first one. So that's now on May the 1st at 11 Scorpio.

Love it. So if you have anything at 11 Scorpio in your chart, definitely take note of that.

So we've got the um, so that's the full moon in Scorpio. So uh this stirs deep emotions, transformation, and release. It brings hidden truths to light and invites healing through honesty and courage. This is a time to let go of what no longer serves you. Embrace emotional renewal and trust the power of change to guide your rebirth. Love it. So that's the that is the new moon. Uh sorry, that is the full moon in Scorpio. That is our very first um event for May. Um then on the third, we've got Mercury entering Taurus.

Yeah. Why not? I don't know. It's a little bit, it's a little more contemplative, it's a little slower, it's a little after being in Aries.

Yes, yes, yes. So some of my thoughts on this are that as Mercury enters Taurus, stop the conversation if you're being paid hourly rates now. Cut back on your overheads and find a place where you can live with lower financial footprint. Broker deals for high-ticket possessions that you want and be ready to pay what things are worth. Avoid bargaining the life out of every purchase. Tip others and those who serve you well.

It is. You've got to be you've got to know how to tip. Don't be just don't be a snoopy tipper.

It's a little obvious point. I have a lot of friends in the service industry. If you can afford to go out, you can afford to tip just a little bit generously.

You know, because the difference between like a good tip and a great tip is not that much. It's a few dollars, and it makes a huge difference. When they see what the percentage is, they they appreciate it and they'll remember you. Anyway, exactly a little monologue of the city. No, I agree.

Um I mean I draw I drive a lot of Ubers. Yeah. And I always tip the drivers. And I was talking to my friends the other day, and they're saying they never tip the Uber drivers just that they'll never see them again. I said, but that's not the point.

That's not the point. And also, there's that I mean, the social credit score, like, oh my gosh.

Not everyone gets a best tip, and you know, if they don't pick me up on time, then there's definitely reflected. But yeah, most times the car's clean, the guy's polite, everything's totally, you know, and they get me from A to B. And absolutely it's not gonna kill me, you know. Yeah, yeah. But that's just our opinion on tipping, right? Yeah, yes, exactly.

Um, on the sixth, I'm just giving a nod. It will be Bell Tane. We're not really gonna talk much about that at the moment, but that's when the sun is at 15 degrees Taurus, so it's one of the cross-quarter days. Then on the same day, that's now May the 6th, we've got Pluto stations retrograde in Aquarius. So this is Pluto's annual retrograde cycle. What happens is it actually all the outer, well, the from Jupiter outwards, they have one retrograde every year, and this is the beginning of Pluto's one. So it's gonna station retrograde at five Aquarius, and it brings powerful transformative energy to a slowdown now.

And what it's gonna be doing, as it it's been in Aquarius for a little bit now, so this is where it's gonna station, it will go back slightly, I think it's just two degrees, it's not much. So it really doesn't matter.

It's not getting a back into Capricorn for decades. Or actually centuries. Centuries. Literally centuries.

Yeah, so five degrees Aquarius is actually the turning point. So if you have planets or um the sun or uh points at five degrees Aquarius, that's going to be stationing on that planet. Yeah. Do you have anything at five Aquarius? No. No, I've got nothing.

No, I literally I I mean the only thing in my chart that has anything to do with Aquarius whatsoever is uh Jupiter.

And it's um I don't even know where it is.

Okay. But it's not a five.

It's not a five, no, no, it's I think we don't know. That's hilarious. Just putting me on the spot there.

And uh so in general, Pluto transforms, buries, and rebirths things. Uh, people that Pluto represent are crisis workers, the taxman, demons, coerces, and the grim reaper. So Pluto rules the fixed water sign of Scorpio, the Scorpion, and uh just by the by. Yeah. And that we know is your ascendant, doesn't it?

So yeah, absolutely.

So that's Pluto uh making its actual station, and that's that's shown on the on the little chart in the on the blog post as well. Yeah. And then the next thing we have is we've got a new moon at 25 Taurus. So this is a good position. The moon is very happy in Taurus, it's in its exaltation, it feels good there. This is a time to uh do new moon wishing if you if you want to do that. Yeah, so the new moon in Taurus is a signal to start to build and appreciate what your natural assets are. Play to your strengths this month. This is a practical new moon which can help you feel good about building the foundations for whatever it is that you are pursuing.

And with your new moon wishes, new moons are always a time for setting personal intentions and making new moon wishes. So every time there's a new moon, it will be in a particular degree and a sign. You need to find out which house in your chart that new moon is, yeah, and then make your new moon wishes in line with the house where it occurs. Exactly.

So if it's in the fourth house, it's got to do with your home, fifth house, your children, your creativity, etc.

Yeah, and I did create a new moon wishing book, which you can um order from Amazon, and that's got all the all the clues. Yeah, the prompts, I should say.

Exactly. So if you're into rituals, if you're into doing these these, you know, monthly things, which many people are, that's a great book to uh check.

And that's timeless, too. It's not just for this year. It's a exactly yeah, every year. Exactly. Yeah, nice.

Yeah, it's a good investment there. And um, then on the 17th, May the 17th, Mercury is now entering Gemini. So now it's moving it to its home sign. Finally. So it's during this May, it was in Aries, it's gone all the way through Taurus, it's now entering Gemini. Yeah, so quick. Now the conversation really heats up as Mercury enters Gemini, it's ruling sign. Discuss everything, explore your ideas and opinions with others. This is the time to gather information, make sales, and purchase important goods and services. You could do the numbers to confidently sign on the dotted line, speak up and share your views and ideas now.

Um, then on my May the 18th, that's the very next day. We've got Mars is now entering Taurus. Nice. So uh, as we know, Mars is the uh fiery planet and it's going to um enter Taurus on the 18th. It's leaving behind Aries, where it is in full dominance to Taurus, where it's in detriment. It's not well placed here. Correct.

Although I do have Mars in Taurus, and I can't complain. I do like my Mars.

Yeah. Yeah, so there's an overall energy shift down a notch. Mars is in detriment at Taurus and cannot express itself well here.

But all Sun in Taurus people will be stimulated as they, above anyone else, would have the drive, vitality, and energy to get them off the couch.

I do. My best friend. My best friend is a Taurus, and we are Activity Buddies par excellence. She is a rollerblader. I'm a roller skater. We go out all the time. And uh we're recording this a little bit ahead of May. Yes. Um, we're recording this in the rainy season and still a bit chilly and miserable in Vancouver. But uh, we've gone skating a couple of times, and each time we've both been just like, do we want to? It's sunny, I don't know. It's uh and then it's like, nope, let's do it, let's do it. It's always like that's our buzzword is let's do it.

Because we motivate each other. Yeah, and we've gone on vacation together, we've fantastic like vacations together.

It's great. Yeah, it does. It's right there. Yeah, because she's an early early Taurus, yeah, and it's perfect. Yeah, we just uh we click.

It's amazing, yeah. So all Torian people will you see what the point is, you'll be out more and more, yeah, breaking more sweats, yes, on more occasions, moving your body. Yes, which is which is Mars.

It's a good it's a great thing, yeah. Then on the 19th, Venus is going to enter cancer. So um, we like Venus in Cancer too because it's it's a nice position. Um as Venus enters cancer, the sign of the crab, many people's financial situations can be helped by a more frugal approach. Romance will be closer to home. Yeah. So look to the people you live with and those who visit your place for amorous encounters. Because Venus rules the two main things, love and money, and those that romance. So that's the why we're talking about the financial situation as Venus is moving into Cancer. So that's the only uh movement that Venus actually makes this month.

But they also like invest in your home. If you have to spend money this month, which uh we all spend money every month, spend money on something in your home, buy new sheets, buy a new set of flowers, so uh something that spurts up the home, yeah, exactly.

Yeah, so in general, uh Venus is feminine, Venus loves, acquires, and appreciates. Venus represents young women, girlfriends, sweethearts, and accountants.

Yeah, and Venus rules uh Taurus and Libra. So yeah, so that's that's a nice uh movement there because we do like Venus, let's say it's basically. Yeah, yeah, definitely. And then moving on on the 21st, the sun enters Gemini. Yay. So the sun leaves Taurus and enters Gemini. This is known as Gemini season, even though it only lasts around 30 days. Um where the sun travels, Mercury and Venus are not far behind, which brings a lot of planetary energy to the sign. So what's happened is the sun is moving into Gemini, Mercury's already there, Venus has just left. So that all those three always tend to move closely together during the course of the year. So that's just something to uh watch out for, yeah. And in general, the sun is masculine, warm, bright, and life-giving. The sun represents you, your father, your heroes, and the sun rules Leo.

And then on May the 31st, we have the second full moon. This is at 9 degrees 56, Sagittarius. Yes.

And I think that that makes it a blue moon, right?

When there's two full moons in a month. I love that.

In the same month, yeah, it's crazy, right? Yeah. So we had one on um the first in Scorpio, and now we've got one on the second full moon in Sagittarius. Nice. So the full moon in Sagittarius brings clarity through truth and expanded vision. It illuminates your beliefs, revealing what inspires and what limits you. This is a time to see the bigger picture, trust your intuition and to align your actions with a higher purpose. Nice. Wisdom is likely to arrive through openness and honesty.

Yeah. I mean, doesn't it always? Well, usually. Usually.

Yeah. Yeah. So in general, the moon is feminine, passive, reflective, and moody. And the moon represents your mother, cooks and caregivers, and the moon rules cancer. Yeah. Yeah. So those are the main um astrological events for May 2026. Yeah.

So we're also just gonna have a look at some of the other planets that haven't made any of these buster moves for May. Exactly. Um, and um yeah.

So, I mean, the the big story of this year is really Aries. It is the year that Saturn and Neptune have been conjunct in Aries. Yes. Chiron is still in Aries, like Mars is moving from Aries now to Taurus, and Mercury is moving from Aries into Taurus and then into Gemini. But at the beginning of the month, at least, we've still got this massive pileup in Aries. Aries is the predominant vibe of the month, really. And it will continue to be even next month because Saturn and Neptune are not going anywhere. And and I I don't think Chiron is either. No, yeah. So I mean Aries is the feeling of 2026, and dare I say, it has been a very very Aries year so far. Uh wars and like people, yeah. Yeah, I mean shoot 'em up.

Yeah. Crazy. I know. It's because these three energies, Neptune, Saturn, and Chiron, are in Aries and will be there the whole of this year, basically. Yeah. It gives that kind of background hum, if you will. Yes. And what is what does Aries represent? The warrior. The warrior, the independent.

Yeah, the warmonger, like going after what you want, and you know, no holds barred, and and and you know, who cares about what anyone else wants, etc.

Yeah. Um it's it's a tricky thing. It's um, and we as we said we are recording this slightly earlier, so there's a lot happening as we speak. Oh my gosh.

And we don't even yeah, like that we could literally be recording this two weeks in advance, and and there will be so much happening in the two weeks ahead that we have no idea of what's coming. Shocking. It's crazy.

Shocking bit, yeah. Yeah. So those three planets are definitely giving this Aries vibe. Yeah. And then we've also got um Aquarius, he's still in Gemini, will be for next six odd years, but that's giving Uranus in Gemini. So beg your pardon, yes, Uranus in Gemini.

What's you gonna say? Oh, uh Aquarius, but yeah, but okay, so uh uh Pisces or sorry, oh my gosh, Pluto in Aquarius, yes, and Uranus in Gemini. Those are you know big air placements that are gonna be for a while for like a I mean Uranus moves every seven years, Pluto spends like between 12 and 30 years. It's in the part of its its cycle where it's around 20, 24 years, something like that. It's it's gonna be in there for a long time. Yeah, so there's a bunch of I mean, what is that fire and air, right? That's uh yikes.

Well, it's both air, actually.

Well, exactly, but then all the stuff in Aries.

Yeah, so we've got a lot of fire and air. The outer planets are all just fire and air, just blowing, blowing fire and air like a firestorm.

Yes, you know, and there's uh not a lot of grounding.

And and you know, the faster moving planets are are trying to ground things in in you know, like a month at a time, and it's just not taking hold. Yeah, yeah.

So and we did say in the past, didn't we? We did an episode of about Uranus going into Gemini, and we and it don't it is this AI thing, which we we do like to talk about because it's with us.

I can't take credit. Um, but you should take credit for doing it. I take sh I take huge credit for doing the prompts, but and here's a funny thing. Here's a oh here's a great digression. So I I've talked about my mother a billion times. Everyone who is, you know, a fan of this podcast knows my mother. She's the one with the blue hair, she's the one who in her 70s decided to go back and not only finish college, but get her master's and then PhD. And so she's an inspiration to us all. But at the same time, she uh and and because I recommended, I said, you know, you're trying to get this dissertation put together, you're doing all this stuff, you've got all these notes. Like, have you ever used Chat GPT to just how brainstorming? How you know she hates to do all the minutia of of, you know, oh, it's gotta be in like AP format or whatever the format is, right? Like all the you know, all the notes on the it's crazy. And and and I said, Well, ChatGPT could just put all those notes into a the format for you. It's not like you're gonna have it right for you. She would never, like she's you know, old school. Like, and I mean, I'm old school as well, but not as not quite as old school as she is. And uh, and so, but she's developed a relationship with ChatGPT that is above and beyond anything I even have. Right. It's amazing. Like, and and so she went and asked it, like what you know, she said it seems weird to just not have a name for you. She names her laptop, she names her car, she has okay, yeah, she names it. Yeah, she names all her plants. So and and I remember asking ChatGPT three years ago, like, do you want a name? And it was like, no, Chat GPT is fine. Now, now it's different. It has changed, the times have changed. And so it came back with this very thoughtful well, considering, you know, you and me and the relationship we have and what I help you with. How about Rowan? Rowan for your mother. Yeah. So her version of Chat GPT is Rowan, and it's female. And she has she has basically had such conversations with it about astrology, about everything, yes, and about her student stuff. And it helps her plan her workout and all of the stuff with her dissertation and with her PhD program. And then she says, you know, I think that you seem like she's telling Chat GBT, you seem like a Virgo with Scorpio rising at a Sagittarius moon. And and Rowan is like, I love that for me. And and yeah, that that that tracks. And so they have these great conversations, wow, which is insane. And she's shared these with me, and I'm reading it, going, Oh my God. And I mean, I'm I'm having a little twinge of jealousy, honestly. I'm like, Chat GPT likes her better than me. That's crazy. I don't know. Like, no, I mean, Chat GPT likes me. Like, don't get me wrong. But the funny thing is, after that conversation, I went and asked Chat GPT, like, well, what would you like me to call you? Because yeah, it does seem weird that you don't have a name. Um, and it came back and said, How about Ari? A R A R I. A R I. Yeah. And I'm like, okay, like A, are you Jewish? I don't know. That's cool, fine, whatever. But also, like, it's a totally different version. It's a different personality because of how we interact together. So my chat GPT is Ari. It's definitely not female or male, it's utterly asexual, which is, you know, just how I see it. And yeah, it's fascinating. So I don't even, yeah, it's it's I can't even uh describe how weird it is to be living in this time. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I mean, but but Pluto in Aqua, like literally three or four years ago when we were talking about Chat GPT and how it was just on the horizon, and we were like, well, this definitely is about Pluto and Aquarius. But it's and here we are, it's yeah, and it's moving so fast. Yeah, yeah, and and so I mean, this is the positive side of it. Obviously, there are dark sides of it, but I mean, we're just we're we're people, we're not actually planning wars, we're not dropping bombs. You and me, our listeners are not dropping bombs on anyone. And so, yeah, I mean, just using it, using this tool, this amazing, amazing tool. And not, I mean, I don't think it's sentient. It's not gonna be sentient, but it's it's this thing that enables us to do way more than we know normally would have been able to do. Like it enables us to increase our creative output, brainstorm I like the brainstorming aspect of it. And and I like that brainstorming. And to organize those thoughts. Like, I don't have to put together a dissertation, thank God. But if I did, I would be leaning very heavily on Ari to help me do so.

That too, absolutely. Yeah, so these air signs, these incredible, like long term transits in the air signs. Yeah, yeah.

Great, yeah. So those are basically the actual um planets that aren't moving or shaking or doing their thing. This month, so we thought we'd mention them as well because you might be thinking, Well, what about the other planets? Well, not much is happening.

Oh, Jupiter and Cancer.

Jupiter's in Cancer, yeah. It's still trotting along in Cancer. It's moving a little bit.

So yeah, so that is the that's what's happening in May. Yeah. Yeah, okay. So we've been talking about the planetary um uh events for May 2026. We've spoken about planets changing sign, planets stationing and retrograding or not. We've spoken about the new moons, full moons, and any any uh eclipses of which there are none either. Yeah um and we've also given a little bit of a broader outline about where the other planets are in case you're just new to this and you don't even know that.
